MEMA Africa Applauds Youth Talent at Mr & Miss Tranquility Africa and Wezesha Awards 2026

MEMA Africa has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and empowering young people in the creative industry following its participation in the Mr & Miss Tranquility Africa and Wezesha Awards 2026, held at Pride in Plaza, Mlolongo.

The event was organized and hosted by Wezesha Talent, bringing together young creatives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, industry professionals and other guests for an evening dedicated to celebrating talent, fashion, confidence, creativity and pageantry under the theme “Beauty with Purpose.”

The celebration provided a platform for young people to showcase their abilities while highlighting the growing role of Africa’s youth in driving the continent’s creative economy.

The MEMA Africa delegation was led by Executive Director Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, MBS, who joined the celebrations alongside MEMA Africa nominees Dr. Neriah Muisyo and Mama Kayai, as well as MEMA Africa Directors Erick Binges and Immaculate Onyoni.

The delegation received a warm welcome from Wezesha Talent CEO Paul Victor and his team and had an opportunity to interact with young leaders led by Kevin Musyoka, entrepreneurs, policymakers and other distinguished guests.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Mutua praised Wezesha Talent for creating a platform where young people can express their creativity, build confidence and receive recognition for their abilities.

“The event is evidence that the talent and creativity of our youth is unmatched. The energy, the joy and the boisterous atmosphere in the room is simply amazing. Congratulations to Paul Victor and his team for this amazing event,” said Dr. Mutua.

He noted that Africa’s young population possesses enormous creative potential and can make a significant contribution to economic development when provided with the right opportunities, mentorship and support systems.

MEMA Africa said it will continue championing initiatives that strengthen the creative economy by supporting platforms, partnerships and opportunities that enable creatives to showcase their work, monetize their talents and build sustainable careers.
Also attending the event was Gordon Oduor, Organizing Secretary of Kenya Model Connect, who joined other industry stakeholders in celebrating the achievements and potential of young people in the creative and fashion sectors.

The Mr & Miss Tranquility Africa and Wezesha Awards 2026 served as a reminder of the importance of investing in youth talent and creating meaningful platforms where creativity, purpose and opportunity can come together.
