TOM OJIENDA EMERGES FRONT-RUNNER IN KISUMU GUBERNATORIAL RACE



KISUMU, Kenya – Fresh political updates indicate that Kisumu County Senator H.E. Tom Ojienda has taken a significant lead in the race for the Kisumu gubernatorial seat, positioning himself as the current favorite ahead of the next election.

According to the latest figures, Senator Tom Ojienda commands 52% support among respondents, placing him well ahead of his closest competitors. Former Kisumu Town West MP Hon. Ken Obura follows with 21%, while Hon. Joshua Oron registers 18% support. A further 8% of voters remain undecided, suggesting that the contest is still open as campaigns gain momentum.
Political observers note that Ojienda's strong showing reflects growing confidence among residents in his leadership credentials, legislative experience, and development agenda for Kisumu County.

The latest numbers underscore an increasingly competitive political landscape, with candidates expected to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts in a bid to win over undecided voters and consolidate their support bases.

As the race unfolds, attention will remain focused on key campaign issues including economic growth, youth employment, infrastructure development, healthcare, and service delivery across Kisumu County.
