Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya Takes Huduma Mashinani to Kangemi to Expand Access to Government Services

The government has intensified efforts to bring public services closer to citizens through the Huduma Mashinani initiative, with Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, leading an outreach programme in Kangemi.

Addressing residents during the event, Dr. Imbunya reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring that every Kenyan has access to essential services regardless of their location or economic status. She said the Huduma Mashinani programme is aimed at eliminating challenges that citizens face when seeking government services.

The outreach brought together several government agencies, allowing residents to access services such as national registration, social protection programmes, public service information, and other essential government services at their doorstep.
Dr. Imbunya noted that taking services directly to communities helps reduce the cost and time citizens spend travelling to government offices. She emphasized that efficient, accessible, and inclusive service delivery remains a key priority for the government.

Residents who attended the event welcomed the initiative, saying it had eased access to critical services and strengthened engagement between citizens and government institutions.

The Principal Secretary urged Kenyans to take advantage of the Huduma Mashinani programme whenever it is brought to their communities, noting that the initiative plays an important role in promoting equitable service delivery across the country.

The Kangemi outreach demonstrated the Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes' commitment to ensuring that no Kenyan is left behind and that government services reach every citizen at the grassroots level.
